Armed Forces Covenant

Armed Forces Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to those who proudly protect our nation, doing so with honour, courage, and commitment. It's a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve, or who have served, in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

Shropshire CCG has signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant. The aims of the Covenant are to:

  • Promote the fact that Shropshire CCG is an armed forces-friendly organisation;
  • Endeavour to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment;
  • Seek to support the CCG's employees who choose to be members of the Reserve Forces, including by accommodating their training and deployment where possible;
  • Offering support to the local cadet units, where possible;
  • To actively participate in Armed Forces Day.

The CCG’s Armed Forces Covenant was signed on 3 July 2019, a copy can be downloaded by clicking on the link below:
