Shropshire Care Closer to Home Team Heads to Ludlow

22 October 2019 1:01pm

The Shropshire Care Closer to Home Team will once again be hitting the road in order to share with you recent progress on the Programme.

The team will be visiting Ludlow Community Hospital on Thursday, 24 October, between 10am and 12noon.

Barrie Reis-Seymour and Laura Casey from the Shropshire Care Closer to Home Programme Team will be setting up a stand as part of the national NHS scheme ‘What Matters to You’.

‘What Matters to You’ is a series of engagement events that provide an opportunity to hear people’s thoughts and experience and to start meaningful conversations. This gives a clear understanding of how current services work and how the new system can best meet people’s needs.

The team has already visited several locations in Shropshire including Whitchurch, Church Stretton, Oswestry, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton and Shrewsbury.

The team will be located in the main reception of the Ludlow Community Hospital where anyone is invited to drop in and have a chat.

The Shropshire Care Closer to Home Programme aims to help people over 65 with a number of health conditions. Care and support is provided by the NHS and Shropshire Council, as well as voluntary sector organisations, working together to help people to stay as well as possible, for as long as possible, in their own home or community setting.

If you are interested in attending our next ‘What Matters to You’ event please feel free to come along - no appointment is necessary.
