RCGP Rural Forum Conference – Keeping Rural Practice Relevant
Saturday, 26 January, 2019, 9.15am - 3.30pm

Event provided by RCGP. The day involves a mixture of workshops and talks including a mobile education unit to update clinical skills. We have three prominent key note speakers, Professor Mayur Lakhani, President, Royal College of General Practitioners, Professor Patrick Pietroni, Director, Darwin International Institute for the Study of Compassion and Professor Amanda Howe, WONCA President, (via WebEx).

Beat, the UK’s eating disorder charity, are working in partnership with West Midlands Clinical Network to deliver eating disorders training to equip healthcare professionals across West Midlands with the skills needed to spot the early signs of eating disorders and make appropriate referrals.

Functional Disorders Day
Friday, 14 June 2019,
Shropshire Conference & Education Centre (SECC) Royal Shrewsbury Hospital SY3 8XQ (SECC)

This one-day conference will offer insights into the recognition, diagnosis and management of these common conditions that affect a significant proportion of patients seen in both primary and secondary care. Local, regional, and national speakers will discuss relevant aspects of functional illness and share experience on improving the management of patients. An emphasis on practical tips will complement personal experience and evidence- based practice. This conference will be appropriate for all therapists, all clinicians of any grade in primary and secondary care, postgraduate and undergraduate trainees.
