CCG Charleston dancers flap their way into the record books
Congratulations to our NHS Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group dance team, along with hundreds of others, who have officially flapped their way into the Guinness World Records book for the largest number of people to do the Charleston at one time.
After getting in some last minute practice (and recruiting a few more CCG dancers) at the CCG headquarters, they took to Quarry Park in Shrewsbury on Saturday, 22 September, 2018. They were part of the 1,096 people who turned up on the day and helped to break the existing record. The event also helped to raise almost £5,000 for Severn Hospice.
Guinness World Records has now officially given the stamp of approval and the new record has been set - well done to everyone that took part!
