An update message from Dr Jess Sokolov, Shropshire CCG’s Clinical Lead for the midwife-led services review, 28th September 2017

29 September 2017 11:10am

Dr Sokolov said: “Over the past few months we have been listening to patients, staff and clinicians to understand what is working well and what can be improved in community midwife-led services. We would like to thank everyone that has been involved in these workshops.

“Our review into community midwife-led services is in the early stages and no decisions have been made. The next steps will be for us to analyse this feedback, alongside our data, to develop a strategy for community midwife-led services. This will help inform us whether change is needed and what this could look like.

“Our review is still ongoing and I would stress that no decisions have been made. As a GP and clinical lead, my priority is to develop quality, safe and responsive community midwife-led services that meet patient’s needs. We will be keeping local people informed throughout this journey to improve services so please check the Midwife-led Unit Review section of the website for updates.”
