How are you?

One You is the campaign from Public Health England which helps adults across the country avoid future diseases caused by our lifestyles.

Behaviours such as eating too much unhealthy food, drinking more alcohol than is recommended, continuing to smoke and not being active enough are responsible for around 35% of all deaths in England, and cost the NHS more than £11 billion a year.

One You helps adults to move more, eat well, drink less alcohol and be smoke free.

One You also provides information on how people can reduce their stress levels and sleep better.

Reduced health in later life is not inevitable – older people can live as well as young people by making changes to their habits and lifestyles in middle age.

One You provides a practical way for adults to reappraise their lifestyle in the form of an online health quiz called ‘How Are You?’

‘How Are You?’ is a free quiz which indicates areas people should look to make healthy lifestyle changes and provides personalised advice, support and tools to help them do so.

There are a number of One You apps available to help people make healthier lifestyle choices such as Active 10, Drink Free Days, Couch to 5K, Easy Meals and Smokefree

The ‘How Are You?’ quiz can help you discover which of the One You apps will be best for you and your health goals.
